Emotional Freedom Techniques

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)—known as tapping, applies the same concepts as acupuncture but without the use of needles. This therapy process involves tapping on appropriate meridians to eliminate energy jams and emotional blockages.

Gary Craig, who developed EFT in the 1990s, said that it “integrates beautifully as a tool to rid ourselves of the emotional debris that is in our way of achieving spiritual awareness.”

Tapping has been found helpful in easing these and other conditions:

  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Negative emotion
  • Phobias
  • Physical Pain
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

Tapping has also helped athletes improve their performance—and it complements traditional therapies.
